The Lodge is situated in a private field with an adjacent smallholding providing homes to a small number of rare breed sheep, pigs and hens.
The local area is renown for it’s countryside and there are several AONB’s (designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
There are excellent Gastro Pubs within a couple of mile radius - details to follow.
The Medieval Cathedral City of Canterbury is approximately 6 miles away and has a multitude of things to do including 2 theatres, 3 cinemas, annual Arts Festival, Britains most famous Cathedral, several Museums, Ghost Tours, Canal trips as far as Sandwich, hundreds of Restaurants, Bars and Pubs, and plentiful and varied shopping - including plenty of quirky little shops in addition to the usual high street outlets.
Going East along Stone Street, the beaches of Hythe & Dymchurch are around 10-25 minutes drive.
The trendy town of Folkestone is approximately 25 minutes drive and Dover is a further another 5-10 minutes.
The Lodge no longer offers camping or camper-van facilities.
